Frequently Asked Questions
Salam and Hello! My name is Syawish.
I run Al Muqaddimah, both the channel and the merchandise sections. Here are some frequently asked questions about me, the videos on the channel, and the posters.
Questions about the Posters
-
Where are you based?
Vancouver, Canada. Our charts (and videos) are made and shipped from Vancouver, Beautiful British Columbia.
-
Are the posters printed in high-quality?
Absolutely, yes! Quality is very important to me. The posters are high-quality prints on glossy paper.
-
I can't find my country in the checkout section, what now?
I'm sorry about that but I am not shipping worldwide right now. I'm trying to expand my shipping (including to my homecountry of Pakistan) but at the moment, things are quite limited.
-
How are the charts shipped?
I use a service called ChitChats to ship the charts. They're rolled (not folded), put into a sleeve which is then put inside a cardboard tube which is capped on both sides. This is done to ensure that the charts aren't damaged in the process of shipping. Shipping to some countries takes longer than others, obviously, but quality is of the utmost importance to me.
-
Can I get digital copies of the charts?
No, sorry. I don't give out digital copies of the charts that I sell. There might be some free stuff flying around the ether such as maps I made on Reddit but not the charts themselves.
-
I have a question or complaint about the posters, where do I reach you?
If you have a complaint, I'm sorry about that. Please reach out to me at shop@almuqaddimah.com
Questions about the Videos
-
Do you run the channel alone?
Pretty much, yeah. Previously, I had an editor for the audios but that's not how I do work now. At the moment, I'm doing everything. I'm trying to find more people to help me with the research. Unless there are other people mentioned in the description of the video, it's safe to assume that I did pretty much everything on it.
-
What are your religious beliefs?
Well, if that's relevant, I'm a Muslim. However, my work is from a secular perspective. I prefer not to have my religious beliefs show up in my work and try to keep it as secular as possible. However, I'm not unbiased. I am very left-leaning and hence am quite biased in that direction. Whether you like that or not, I hope you can find something useful on my channel.
